Thank you for the excellent research on this very important change. We must be diligient to not turn back the clock on helping the poor get out of homelessness while still showing concern for all persons in need.

In regards to this reconstruction plan. On March 8,2011 my case was approved for GR. I am employable. When i asked my case worker Charles Guzman at the 3352 Aerojet El Monte,CA 91731 office about this reconstruction plan to see if i could benifit from it. He stated he knew nothing about this plan and when he asked his supervisior she knew nothing as well about it. Can you please send me some information on whom i should contact about this. Thank You.

Its funny i have been on GR since 11/25/09. My worker has never brought this to my attention. I am employable and have been attending their Job Club and fast track programs. Currently i am on a 3 month leave due to the 9 months on 3 months off. I reapply on March 7, 2011. And i will bring this up to my worker. Hopefully this program can help me as i am homeless and currently staying at the San Gabriel Valley Winter Shelter.

I agree with what you have said here, but I would also add the organizations and agencies also need to be held accountable for funding they already get, programs and services they say they offer.

I would also add that in order to truly help people who are homeless, then one would have to engage (speak to, listen to) the people they say they are helping.

There truly needs to be some accountability.
